In the heart of the enchanting rolling fields, lived a boy named Shepherd. His being was essentially pure, simple, and honest. His main role was to tend to his herd of sheep.

One afternoon he dashed into the village screaming “Wolf! A wolf is preying on my sheep!” The terrified villagers rushed up the hills to help but discovered no beast.
The boy chuckled at the confusion on their faces. This prank continued for a couple of more days. Yet, one day, a real wolf actually charge at the grazing sheep. The shepherd boy dashed for aid shouting “Wolf, click here Wolf!” But this time, no one showed up.
Frustrated and alone, the boy battled against the wolf but could protect only few of his sheep. Heartbroken, he returned to the village only to receive a lesson on honesty and the repercussions of dishonesty.
The tale of this shepherd boy has been passed down generations as a mediaeval parable for teaching the importance of honesty, the implications of dishonesty and the perils of false alarms. Moreover, it highlights how trust once lost, is hard to regain. It's a story as pertinent today as it was then.
